# Subotiz Accounts

<AccordionGroup>
  <Accordion title="What is FX conversion in Subotiz Accounts and what can I use it for?">
    FX conversion in Subotiz Accounts is a real-time multi-currency exchange feature that allows merchants to exchange one currency for another using their available account balance, without using a third-party service or visiting a bank. The system calculates the estimated converted amount based on the current exchange rate, and once submitted the conversion is completed immediately. Converted funds can be used for global payouts, RMB settlement, and other treasury management activities.

    Common use cases include:

    * converting USD to EUR for European supplier payments
    * USD to GBP for UK advertising expenses
    * foreign currencies to CNH before RMB settlement
    * rebalancing funds across currencies based on business needs
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Which currencies does Subotiz Accounts support for FX conversion?">
    Subotiz Accounts currently supports real-time conversions between 9 major currencies:

    * **USD** — US Dollar
    * **EUR** — Euro
    * **GBP** — British Pound
    * **HKD** — Hong Kong Dollar
    * **CNH** — Offshore Chinese Yuan
    * **SGD** — Singapore Dollar
    * **CAD** — Canadian Dollar
    * **AUD** — Australian Dollar
    * **JPY** — Japanese Yen

    All 9 currencies can be exchanged with each other, providing up to 72 currency pair combinations. Supported currencies and pairs are subject to availability in the Subotiz Accounts dashboard.

  <Accordion title="Are there any fees for FX conversions in Subotiz Accounts?">
    No additional fees apply to FX conversions. The exchange rate displayed on the page before you submit is the actual rate used for the transaction — you can review the exact conversion cost before confirming. The rate references real-time major bank quotes and refreshes every few seconds, giving full visibility into the transaction cost.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Is there a minimum or maximum amount for FX conversions?">
    The minimum conversion amount is equivalent to USD 0.01 per transaction. There is currently no maximum amount per transaction. For conversions exceeding the equivalent of USD 1,000,000, contact your Account Manager in advance so the necessary arrangements can be made to ensure liquidity.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I initiate an FX conversion in Subotiz Accounts?">
    1. Go to Finance > Subotiz Accounts and select Foreign Exchange.
    2. Select the currency to sell and the currency to buy — available balances are displayed.
    3. Enter the conversion amount; the system automatically calculates the estimated converted amount at the current rate.
    4. Review the rate, estimated amount, and rate expiry countdown, then click Submit.
    5. On the confirmation page, review the locked rate, sell amount, and buy amount, enter your 6-digit transaction password, and click Confirm.

    Balances update immediately and funds are available right away. Note: set up a transaction password before using FX conversion for the first time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How does the 45-second exchange rate lock work, and what happens if it expires?">
    After a conversion is initiated, the system locks the current exchange rate for 45 seconds to give merchants time to review details and enter the transaction password. Within the lock window, the rate is guaranteed — the conversion will execute at exactly the locked rate. If the 45-second window expires before confirmation, the system automatically refreshes the exchange rate. Review the updated estimated amount before confirming. Conversions cannot be cancelled or modified once confirmed.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="When are converted funds available after a successful FX conversion?">
    Converted funds are available immediately after the conversion is complete. The corresponding currency balances update instantly once the conversion is confirmed — there is no waiting period. The funds can be used right away for subsequent FX conversions, global payouts, RMB settlement, and other treasury management activities.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Does Subotiz Accounts support limit orders, scheduled conversions, or forward contracts?">
    No. FX conversion in Subotiz Accounts currently only supports immediate conversions using the current real-time exchange rate. Limit orders, scheduled conversions, forward contracts, and other deferred transaction types are not currently supported.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I view FX conversion history and what information is shown?">
    Go to Finance > Subotiz Accounts > Foreign Exchange and select the FX Transactions tab.

    Each record shows:

    * order number
    * created time
    * current status
    * sell amount and currency
    * exchange rate
    * buy amount and currency
    * available actions

    Filter records by order number, sell or buy currency, transaction status, or date range. Click Details on any record to view the full conversion details including the locked exchange rate, created time, and processed time.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="What do the FX conversion statuses mean?">
    FX conversion records have three possible statuses:

    * **Processing** — the conversion request has been submitted. Conversions normally complete immediately. If a channel issue occurs, the transaction may temporarily remain in Processing status — wait for the system to finish.
    * **Success** — the conversion is complete — sold currency balance has been deducted and purchased currency balance has been credited. Funds are immediately available.
    * **Failed** — the conversion was not completed. The sold currency balance is not deducted. You can initiate a new conversion.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Why can't I submit an FX conversion request?">
    If an FX conversion cannot be submitted, check the following:

    * whether the available balance of the sold currency is sufficient
    * whether the displayed exchange rate has expired (if the 45-second lock elapsed, the rate refreshes and you need to review the new amount)
    * whether you have set up a transaction password (required before first use)
    * whether the funds are in pending or awaiting documentation status (these funds are not available for FX conversion)
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="How do I set up or reset my transaction password for FX conversion?">
    A 6-digit transaction password is required to confirm each FX conversion. You must set up the transaction password before using FX conversion for the first time. If you have forgotten your password, go to Finance > Subotiz Accounts > Settings > Global Settings to reset it. After resetting, you can initiate a new FX conversion. The password provides a second layer of security verification for each conversion.
  </Accordion>

  <Accordion title="Can I cancel or modify an FX conversion after confirming it?">
    No. Once a conversion is confirmed and submitted, it cannot be cancelled or modified. Before confirming, carefully review the locked exchange rate, sell amount, and buy amount on the confirmation page. The 45-second rate lock window gives you time to verify details before committing. If a conversion fails after submission, the sold currency balance is not deducted and you can initiate a new conversion.
